English Grammar Past Continuous Past Continuous: Negative Sentences

To form negative sentences in the past continuous we use the negative form of be and the -ing form of the main verb:

I wasn’t drinking coffee.
We weren’t thinking about that.
She wasn’t watching a film.
He wasn’t preparing for our meeting.
It wasn’t snowing yesterday.
We weren’t talking.
They weren’t considering our proposal.
