Recruiting and employment
If you are looking for a job, whether you are a professional looking for a vacancy and want to work full time or a student who wants to be a trainee and learn something new, the most important thing you need to prepare is a curriculum vitae or a résumé. A CV is longer and gives more details about your education and experience while a résumé is shorter and should be changed for every position because you want to show only the experience and skills that are important for the job.
When a personnel officer, who is an HR specialist, or an employer, who is usually a CEO, reads your CV and invites you to an interview, you should also be prepared for assessment tests that will check your knowledge or your skills. They do those tests to make sure you are the best potential employee for their company and to make sure they will not have to dismiss you after a week or a month because you are not the person they are looking for.
During your interview, try to stay positive and do not be too nervous. They might ask you whether you have any questions. It is always a good idea to ask about a possibility of promotion if you want to have a higher position in the future and show your motivation.
If you do well, they may hire you and… you’ve got the job! On your first day, you will meet the staff and make new friends.
