The workshop on delivering Training in English is dedicated to everyone who is involved in designing, preparing and delivering training in English—regardless of the subject, audience or industry they represent. Recommended proficiency level: B2 (upper-intermediate) and above.
The workshop program includes:
- Phrases and expressions: The most important phrases and expressions related to conducting training in English will be discussed. Participants will learn how to use these phrases in practice to make training delivery more fluent and effective.
- Presentation techniques: This class will discuss presentation techniques to help participants give effective presentations in English. Participants will be provided with the linguistic tools necessary to prepare and deliver a presentation in a way that is clear and understandable to trainees, including the language needed for Storytelling, the STAR method of presenting, language for generalisation and more.
- Pronunciation improvement: During the training, participants will have the opportunity to improve their pronunciation and intonation in English, which will allow them to communicate more effectively with their audience.
- Interactive exercises: During the class, participants will have the opportunity to actively participate in various interactive exercises that will allow them to put into practice the language knowledge they have acquired.
- Specialised vocabulary: Participants will expand their specialised vocabulary in the field in which they work, so as to be able to communicate freely with trainees and to use specialised concepts when teaching.

Class format:
The workshop will be conducted online via Zoom by experienced language trainers who come from various English-speaking countries and have experience in conducting training in English.
Classes run 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. Monday–Friday and 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. at weekends.

Course content
- Conducting training in English – introduction, setting individual language objectives. The basic principles of conducting training in English will be discussed, as well as phrases and expressions necessary to communicate effectively with trainees.
- Building Relationships with Audiences – how to connect with trainees in English. Relationship-building strategies such as asking open questions, active listening, creating an atmosphere of trust, etc. will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to practically apply the knowledge they have acquired through examples.
- English in the context of training – phrases and vocabulary necessary when conducting training in English. Phrases related to planning the training, introducing the topic, encouraging participation, asking questions, giving feedback, etc. will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to practise using these phrases.
- Effective presentations – how to prepare and deliver a presentation in English? Strategies for preparing and delivering a presentation such as building a presentation structure, choosing the right words and phrases, using different types of graphics, tables, STAR technique, Storytelling. Participants will have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge gained by preparing and delivering a short presentation.
- Cultural differences in the reception of training, public speaking and presentations – how to recognise and deal with them: In this session, participants will learn what cultural differences can affect the delivery of training in English and how to deal with them.
- Cultural differences related to non-verbal communication, learning styles, cultural hierarchies and other factors that affect the training process will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to identify cultural differences in their environment and discuss coping strategies.
- Planning and organising training – how to plan and organise a training course in English? Setting training objectives, choosing the appropriate form of training, preparing training materials, one-pagers etc. Participants will have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge gained by planning and preparing a training scenario.
- Problem solving – how to respond quickly to participants’ questions and concerns: Problem-solving strategies such as identifying problems, seeking solutions, providing feedback, etc. will be discussed. Participants will have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge gained through problem solving exercises.
- Effective adult learning techniques – how to effectively transfer knowledge in English? Using different methods and technologies, creating interactive exercises, adapting training materials to the language level of the participants, etc. Participants will have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired by preparing and carrying out an interactive exercise.
- Industry vocabulary necessary to conduct training in your field (individual choice).
